Our business exists because of the health of the coral reefs. Protecting them is our foremost priority.

Direct Support for Gili Eco Trust: We are a proud corporate sponsor of the Gili Eco Trust, the island’s leading NGO. A portion of every course fee is donated directly to their Biorock reef restoration and turtle conservation programs.
Active Reef Monitoring: Our instructors, led by marine biologist Dr. Anya Lestari, contribute to citizen science by submitting data on coral health, turtle sightings, and megafauna encounters to regional conservation databases.

We partner with the Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve Project in Kalimantan, a certified REDD+ project, to measure and offset the carbon emissions from all our boat operations and client ground transportation within Lombok. Local Employment Priority: We are committed to a ‘local first’ hiring policy. Over 80% of our boat crew, ground staff, and administrative team are from the local communities of Gili Air and the Pemenang sub-district of Lombok.
Sourcing from Local Businesses: We procure all fresh produce, catering, and supplies from local markets and family-owned businesses, ensuring that tourism revenue directly benefits the local economy.

Eliminating Single-Use Plastics

Plastic pollution is a critical threat to our oceans. We have a zero-tolerance policy for single-use plastics in our operations.

All clients are provided with a personal, reusable stainless-steel water bottle upon arrival.
Our boats are stocked with filtered water in large, reusable dispensers, not plastic bottles.
We work with our accommodation partners to encourage and implement similar plastic-reduction policies for our clients during their stay.
